Our Code of Conduct defines a framework of rules and principles of good practice and ethics which is followed by the company and determines in a way how employees and third parties are connected. Our Code of Conduct and respective Compliance Policies ensure of maintaining good company image and reputation, contribute to the consolidation of United Fiber having a strong position in the market, and assist in building strong relationships in trust and transparency with customers, suppliers, partners, employees and shareholders.

United Group is a member of the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) since November 2022 and a member of the UN Global Compact since May 2023. Responsible Business Alliance (https://www.responsiblebusiness.org/) is the world’s largest industry coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. By participating, we commit to RBA Code of Conduct and its standards and accept the responsibility for continuous improvement and spread this commitment to our supply chain.

UN Global Compact

United Nations (UN) Global Compact (https://unglobalcompact.org/) is the world’s largest Corporate Sustainability Initiative. United Group accept the organization’s call to align our strategies and operations with Universal Principles on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption and take actions that advance societal goals.

Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC) Policy 

Zero Tolerance to Bribery and Corruption: We stand for accountability, ethics and integrity and have zero tolerance for fraud, bribery and corruption. No matter where we are or what our role is at United Fiber, we act with honesty, transparency and respect.

Charitable Donations and Sponsorships

Ethical Donations and Sponsorships: All sponsorships and charitable donations on behalf of United Fiber are carried out following established transparent procedures where approval from Compliance is mandatory.

Gifts, Entertainment, Travel (GET) Policy

Give or Get Ethical GETs: Considering that Gifts, Entertainment and Travel offering or receiving may raise doubts as to whether this action is only related to a legitimate business purpose and nothing else is hidden, the company has created this Policy and a process where Compliance investigates and approves what is acceptable as GET, in order to ensure that decision makers are not influenced from GETs and this action is not linked to unethical behaviour.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Effective management of Conflict of Interest: By implementing a Conflict of Interest Policy, United Fiber has set out the framework according to which the existence of a conflict of interest is recognized and appropriate measures are taken to avoid situations that may affect the decision-making process.

Sanctions Policy

Effective Sanction screening: United Fiber and all connected companies to United Group are committed to comply with global, national, local laws and regulations, including international sanctions applicable to transactions with certain persons and foreign countries and imposed by the United States of America, the United Nations, the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Due Diligence on Third Party Policy

Effective evaluation of Third Parties: United Fiber is committed to building its business relationships with Third Parties diligently and in the best interests of the company and its shareholders. Therefore, all Third Parties shall be evaluated and verified via Due Diligence process, to be integral and trustworthy individuals or entities to do business with, before finalising the business relationship.

Policy against Violence and Harassment

Zero tolerance in Violence and Harassment: United Fiber has a zero-tolerance policy for any incident of bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace. Any form of violence and harassment, taking place during worktime, connected, or resulting from work, including violence and harassment based on gender and sexual harassment, is strictly prohibited for every employee and partner of the company. Respecting human dignity, at all levels, is a key element of United Fiber’s culture.
