This initiative is designed to significantly accelerate Greece’s transition to the Gigabit society and the AI-driven economy.
To date, over 710,000 homes and businesses have been passed by United Fiber’s proprietary FTTH network, putting the company on track to reach 830,000 premises by year-end 2025.
United Fiber is implementing its plan with targeted geographic deployment and rapid execution, achieving significant progress in key regions across Greece:
- Attica: Over 460,000 homes are connectable, with 63% (290,000) already internally wired.
- Peloponnese: More than 70,000 premises passed, with 50% (35,000) internally wired.
- Thessaly: Coverage extends to 45,000 premises, with 63% (28,700) internally wired.
- Thessaloniki: The United Fiber network covers over 103,000 premises, with 77% (80,000) internally wired.
- Crete (Heraklion-focused): Over 42,000 premises passed, with 45% (19,000) internally wired.
United Fiber’s ongoing FTTH investments are pivotal in reducing digital inequalities, enhancing the competitiveness of local economies, and improving quality of life through high-speed, reliable, and sustainable next-generation infrastructure.
As a key pillar of United Group’s €2 billion investment plan for Greece (with over €1 billion already invested), United Fiber is actively contributing to the country’s transition toward a sustainable, technologically advanced growth model.
