The goal is to decisively accelerate Greece\u2019s transition to the Gigabit and Artificial Intelligence society.<\/p>\n<p>To date, more than 850,000 homes and businesses now have access to United Fiber\u2019s proprietary FTTH network, speeding the achievement of the company\u2019s next milestone of more than 950,000 homes and businesses by spring 2026, with significant progress made in strategic regions across Greece:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attica: Over 520,000 homes can be connected, 67% of which (350,000) already have internal installations.<\/li>\n<li>Peloponnese: More than 95,000 homes and businesses are connected, 47% of which (45,000) already have internal installations.<\/li>\n<li>Thessaly: Coverage reaches 55,000 consumers, 66% of whom (36,500) already have internal installations.<\/li>\n<li>Thessaloniki: United Fiber\u2019s network covers over 110,000 homes and businesses, 78% of which (87,000) already have internal installations.<\/li>\n<li>Crete (with focus on Heraklion): Over 70,000 consumers have access to the network, 41% of whom (28,500) already have internal installations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is worth noting that, as part of Greece\u2019s accelerated digital upgrade, United Fiber, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Governance and the Society for Information Technology, is rapidly installing fiber inside buildings in its FTTH coverage areas. Leveraging the Smart Readiness capability through the Recovery Fund, fiber and smart meter infrastructures are being installed in over 20,000 buildings, with this number expected to reach or exceed 30,000 buildings depending on the program\u2019s total duration in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1466\" src=\"https:\/\/unitedfiberadm.nova.prv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"578\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unitedfiber.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unitedfiber.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2-1024x539.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.unitedfiber.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2-768x404.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.unitedfiber.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2-380x200.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.unitedfiber.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/United-Fiber_\u03a7\u03ac\u03c1\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2.jpg 1147w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>United Fiber\u2019s investments in the development of main network infrastructure continue at full speed, highlighted by the completion of the new Athens\u2013Thessaloniki optical link in 2025, building over 600 kilometers of new optical network and strengthening connections to Southeast Europe and Western European hubs. This infrastructure ensures the reliability, stability, and flexibility of existing connections to Turkey, the Middle East, and Bulgaria, providing a new alternative optical route and further enhancing the security of the company\u2019s main optical network.<\/p>\n<p>Through the implementation of United Group\u2019s \u20ac2 billion investment plan for Greece until 2027, with over \u20ac1.2 billion already invested, United Fiber acts as a catalyst for Greece\u2019s transition to a sustainable and technologically advanced development model, decisively contributing to the National Recovery and Digital Transformation Plan \u2013 a key pillar of the European Digital Agenda 2030.<\/p>\n<p><strong>George Angelousis, CEO of United Fiber<\/strong>, stated:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Exceeding 850,000 homes and businesses with access to our FTTH network is a significant milestone and confirms the consistency with which we implement our strategic plan.
